THE FODQ BRUNCH

On February 4, 2023, the Foundation of the Order of Dentists of Quebec organized an event aimed at raising funds to provide care to people in vulnerable situations. The FODQ Brunch was a success! It made it possible to forge links in addition to raising $1,120 for the Bouche B project. Thank you to Saint-Houblon for allowing us to hold this great event!

Charity dinner - Dentraide - 2022

The FODQ was pleased to be a partner of the 3rd edition of Vins et Fromages – Dentraide which took place on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Center des sciences de Montréal.

Dentraide is a non-profit organization created and managed entirely by students from the Faculty of Dental medicine – University of Montreal. The vocation of Dentraide is to offer help to people who need dental care, here as elsewhere, by bringing together humanitarian and individual initiatives of the students.

Helping day at WELCOME HALL MISSION (MBA)

On October 22, 2021, members of the FODQ gathered at the PAVILLON MACAULAY (Emergency shelter) of MBA to help to prepare and serve meals to nearly a hundred of homeless people.

Bravo and thank you again to the participants of the FODQ, And a particular bravo to Mission Bon Accueil (MBA) which, day after day, does extraordinary work with Montrealers in vulnerable situations.

On July 14, 2021, members of the FODQ gathered at Welcome Hall Mission to help to fill backpacks with all the material required for the start of the school year. More than 2,500 children from vulnerable families of Montreal will receive these bags to make their back-to-school on track for this year.

Bravo and thank you again to the FODQ participants. And a special Bravo to Mission Bon Accueil (MBA) which, day after day, does extraordinary work with Montrealers in need.

In 2021, the FODQ has decided to offer Welcome Hall Mission more than 5,500 free dental products (toothbrushes, tubes of toothpaste and dental floss) to support people in vulnerable situations during the COVID-19 pandemic. These free products are for more than 2,500 homeless people who are housed in this organization’s emergency shelters and to 1,700 families living in precarious conditions in order to help them to take care of their oral health.

In addition, on April 29, members of the FODQ took part in a day to help to prepare bags of food and dental products.

Bravo to FODQ participants and a special bravo to Mission Bon Accueil which, day after day, does extraordinary work to help people in need, especially during the pandemic.

Free Oral Cancer Screening Day

On May 11, 2021, the FODQ had the privilege to support wonderful people who carried out a free oral cancer screening day with beneficiaries of the CLSC des Faubourgs (Ste-Catherine), most of whom were street youth. Thank you to the Faubourgs for your hospitality and a special thank you to the dentists who made this event possible.

Graduates convocation dinner 2019 - Faculty of dental medicine of McGill University

During the ceremony entitled “Convocation Luncheon” on May 28, 2019, the FODQ presented « Le Prix de la Fondation» to Ms. Julie Cai, a graduate of the Faculty of Dental Medicine of McGill University, for being involved in the community during their training.

Congratulations to all the young people who get involved in their community!

Excellence awards evening 2019 - Faculty of dental medicine of Laval University

The FODQ, in collaboration with Henry Schein, was proud to award the Community Involvement Award on April 16, 2019 to Ms. Fiorella Paz, laureate of the Faculty of Dental Medicine – Laval University.

This prize is awarded to the graduate who has distinguished himself in terms of his commitment to the community, for accessibility to dental care for people in vulnerable situations.

CONVOCATION LUNCH FOR THE 2018 GRADUATES OF UNIVERSITY MCGILL FACULTY OF DENTISTRY

During the “Convocation Champagne Luncheon” of May 29 2018, the Fondation de l’Ordre des dentistes du Québec gave the “Prix de la Fondation” to Dr. Krystal Major, graduate from McGill University’s dental program. She was given this award because she has shown strong implication in community dental activities during her studies.

2018 AWARDS EVENING AT THE UNIVERSITY LAVAL UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF DENTISTRY

On April 25 2018, The Fondation de l’Ordre des dentistes du Québec, in collaboration with Henry Schein, was pleased to give the award for community engagement to Dr. Timothée Laloux.

This prize was given to the student who has shown strong community engagement to improve access to dental care for the most vulnerable people.

20 ans, 20 artistes - CALL FOR VISUAL AND CREATIVE ARTISTS

CALL FOR VISUAL AND CREATIVE ARTISTS:

The Fondation de l’Ordre des dentistes du Québec is calling on all DENTISTS AND FUTURE DENTISTS that are also visual and creative artists.

Whether you paint, draw, sculpt or make other creations like jewellery and accessories, we want your finest work!

In conjunction with the Foundation’s 20th anniversary, 20 artists will be selected to exhibit their work during the Journées dentaires internationales du Québec, to be held on May 30 and 31, 2016.

The deadline for applications is April 15, 2016.

The Foundation is counting on lots of artists to take part. JOIN IN THE CELEBRATIONS!

McGill University 2015 White Coat Ceremony

On September 16, 2015, the Fondation de l’Ordre des dentistes du Québec presented a check of $17,000 to McGill University at the 2015 White Coat Ceremony to support their dental health geriatric dental care project.

It’s all happening in Mauricie

On May 9, the Maxillo-Mauricie Clinic and the dental hygiene clinic at the Cégep in Trois-Rivières held a day of free consultations and dental cleaning for underprivileged people. Congratulations to all volunteers and donors who contributed to the success of this event.
